Ecomms can't supply non-essentials during lockdown: Govt

The Centre today has reportedly prohibited e-commerce companies from supplying non-essentials during the period of lockdown.The govt had on April 16 decided to allow etailers to resume supply of non-essentials from April 20.A press release from Home Ministry states the prohibition on e-commerce firms will stay during the period of lockdown for non-essential goods.The Home Ministry order of April 15 had allowed e-commerce companies and their vehicles to ply after April 20.However, today the home ministry has withdrawn the clause.The lockdown was first imposed on March 25 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
